The proposal amends the previously reviewed development at 210 N. Aberdeen to change from an all office development, to 414 residential units. There will be a reduction to ~10,700 sq. ft. of ground floor commercial space. The historic restoration of the Arthur Harris building with its use as publicly accessible commercial space remains a part of the proposal. The height has been reduced to 19 stories and a maximum height of 239 feet, and the automobile parking count has been increased to 109 spaces.
Each development in the West Loop must undergo a public review process, which involves a presentation of the project to the community. Participation at these open meetings is crucial. It is an opportunity for the developer to hear the comments and concerns of the community, and it is a format through which your voices can be heard. Strong public input can change the course of a project, so please consider attending community development meetings as frequently as possible. We look forward to seeing you there!
Please contact Carla M. Agostinelli, WLCO’s Executive Director, at carla@westloop.org or via telephone at 312-666-1991 with any comments, questions or concerns about the proposed development.
