Welcoming Two New Board Members

West Loop Community Organization announces two new additions to the 2021-2022 Board of Directors

The West Loop Community Organization (WLCO) recognizes this as one of the most important years as we address issues regarding economic and community development in a post pandemic world. WLCO is pleased to announce two additions to the 2021-2022 Board of Directors.

Julie Darling, a true Chicagoan, animal lover, beauty addict, connector, will fight for what's right, and at times a pure enigma. Julie is currently working with the 12th District of the Chicago Police Department as a community advisor, she is an administrator of the Real West Loop Facebook group and is the Marketing Director for the re-launch of Chicago’s iconic Double Door, a music institution that has hosted the Rolling Stones, Smashing Pumpkins, and the WuTang Clan among many other greats. Julie’s vast skillset and passion to help small businesses, nonprofit organizations will be incredibly beneficial assets added to WLCO and our entire community.

Mitch Greenwald, a humanist, family man, bicyclist and CEO of Cloudbakers, a company which connects technology with change management to add value to businesses. Mitch brings his valuable experience, coaching and client-based focus to WLCO. Mitch is most excited in proving mentorship to small businesses in efforts to make an impact to those who may be under-resourced.

“It’s wholeheartedly understood that this is one of the most important years of our lives as we address issues regarding economic and community development in a post pandemic world,” says Carla Agostinelli, Executive Director. “We are thrilled with the additions to the Board of Directors. Both Julie and Mitch have the skillsets needed to foster relationships, advocate for responsible development and champion unity in our community.”
